It isn’t in your blood. That doesn’t make it easier to quit, but it does make it your choice.

Addiction is a series of choices and habits. The good thing about choices and habits is we can change them.

We can have habits for a very long time, and it makes them seem like they are “part of us”. But that is not true. A long-time habit is still just a habit - it is still just a choice - and it is something we can change.

We cannot do it alone. You need help - we all did.

Resources for our recovery

When you get to work on it, recovery is simple: it is one day at a time. It is not easy though. It takes focus and humility and it takes a lot of commitment and sacrifice. The reward is you get the life of your dreams.
