Im supposed to hang out with a friend today, one I used to party with. She’s changed and is now sober, too. Well, sober-ish… she smokes pot. I told her not to bring any. How would you guys maintain the boundaries, just in case it comes up?

Did all of you do a complete reboot on friendships or did you keep some of the old friends?

Turns out the only thing I had in common with all my mates was getting wasted so once I stopped I had no reason to be near them. Personally now I wouldn’t have any relationship with anyone with an addiction bc of all the shit that goes along with it.
That’s just me though, sobriety has changed the way I look at people and myself, if neither of us bring anything to the friendship that benefits us both then what’s the point.
