Kratom for opiate withdrawls

I’ve used kratom for withdrawl in the past and found that it almost completely eliminates any symptoms of withdrawl, it is not an opiate although it does act on the sub-opiate receptors (“mu” and “pu”? I believe) it contains many alkaloids but the most interesting is the alkaloid’s Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine which produce the “effects” (this does NOT get you high like opiates; not me at least). Does anyone have any experiences with kratom? Both good and bad please share, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with it in the past for curbing cravings.

I certainly agree, but at the same time I would rather use a substance like kratom rather than getting on something like suboxone if I had to

What gets me is the back pain and the restless legs, the rest is nothing, I don’t really have mental cravings for it, just the urge to not want to feel this back pain…kratom takes it all away and it’s a legal plant

If you come across bad withdrawl’s I would defiantly consider it, meng da kratom seems to help me the most, but I would do research and make up your own mind to decide to use it or not, good luck and keep going buddy!

Me too, the worst part is recieving a text from someone saying they have somethjng, then my mind wants it so i go get it. I need to delete numbers in my phone to hold myself accountable, those aren’t my friends those are my connections. I’m doing okay too, not even using kratom (mostly because it’s at my apartment and I am out of town), the back pain really sucks right now but other than that I’m good, glad they aren’t too bad on you man, keep going @Dan_Alexander

I have not @Oliverjava, do you have any information on it? I am intrigued, the back pain is due to the withdrawl’s…which are what make me want to get more, but I’m going to tough it out this time (it’s not as bad as its been in the past for me) this is the last time…

Bro I have that same fear, I have no idea …but I’m just going to hope I don’t need to get prescribed anything for a long time if ever, I want to change my lifestyle with this change as well to stay healthy.

I’m on day 12 opiate free. The first week was a nightmare. I tried every otc sleep aid I could find, nothing at all helped. Even tried some ambien…nothing. Night 8 was the worst for me. My legs and back felt like pure torture. So on night 9 I tried kratom. (Red strain maeng da, as red is supposed to be best for rls) Life…saver! I am nervous about taking it too long, as it has wds as well. But I figured if I made it that far, maybe id only need it for a couple of nights. My legs are starting to ease up. Back still kills me. I also got the vitamin 5htp. It helps a lot, as well. Bit pricey, however. I definitely recommend kratom to anyone with severe wd induced rls.
