Let’s get to know each other better

Gotta be straight! I’m that way with cards! If we’re playing cards, say Uno, I HAVE to have the discard deck straight and orderly! It drives my kids crazy

My name is Roderick, 26. I’m new to this so feel free to break me in or out LMAO jk. Nah, but I graduated from Outpatient Rehab last Thursday and lived in a sober house until this past Tuesday. I moved back in to my parents house for 3 days now and I haven’t unpacked shit. I’m normally not the lazy type but I think my depression somewhere doesn’t want to deal with the responsibility that involves cleaning my room out and just staying in my sister’s room because her bed is waaayyy more comfortable than mine. Hahaha :joy:. I’m officially 90 days sober !! Boohyah Fentanyl F- you !! I’m just an Tucson :cactus::desert::sunrise_over_mountains: boy ready to live my new life and explore my options. I’d really love some tips or anything anyone can give me. I love learning and learning loves me :heartbeat::blue_book::green_book:

Workout in intervals - that’s a great idea! My mind does the same thing (also ADD here). I’ll try it next time I’m in the gym.

I preheat my pots by boiling water in them before I stir fry. I stir fry at the highest setting - w electric stove - because I find it produces the best results (veggies cooked but still crisp). I put the water in so the pots don’t smoke while I’m heating them up.

Ooooh oh I can relate :flushed: my ocd makes my eyes play tricks on me. I’ll see my dog inside when I’m leaving and the door WILL be locked but I’ll have to go back and peer through the window to make sure he’s still there and that the door is still locked after I’ve reached my car. Quitting drinking gave me ocd I swear lol

Welcome roddy! You’re in the right place, a community who’s here to support and then my derailment thread that’s about weird habits ha! Ask any questions you’d like and make sure to read around-lots to absorb. Happy you’re here

Wow Matt, stealing this tip! Chef here and never thought of doing that. My new apartment has an electric stovetop and I have anxiety about it. Never used one in my 10 years of working in kitchens, just have heard horror stories about not being able to control the temp :flushed:
