I’m on day 3 for 2nd DOC, which was the latest use, ans day 5 for alcohol.
First gym workout in over 12 months.
Prepare for court tomorrow morning.
Prepare for inductions on first day of new job in the
afternoon also tomorrow.
Finish all home projects I started yesterday
Wash, bath and clean my dog, myself and all bedding/clothes/dog stuff.
These may seem like trivial things, but I am definitely doing these things. They are within the grip of my control, and although I could likely do much more, I’m happy to set and achieve these mini day goals.
That’s 5 things im definitely getting done today. No doubt about it.
I know exactly what you mean by this. A couple years ago I was barely doing anything, and I could barely do anything, I was lucky if I took a shower. Pathetic.
Today I.
Went 10 mile bike ride
Took my dog to run and play twice
Went to the gym
Got the last few accessories for my garden
Installed accessories and spent some time in the garden.
And I will probably cook dinner for my parents, visit a buddy, catch a movie with my brother.
Sobriety is so much better. And your post here was a reminder how grateful I am to be were I am today.
Your productivity list is an awesome motivator and in no way trivial. In the early days of our sobriety our bodies are going through so much detox and readjusting that we are super fatigued. Be kind to our self and keep taking these baby steps. Soon enough you will be doing these chores and so much more with no effort.
Sending you strength my friend.
