Got through my first Friday night in who knows how long without drinking. L
ast Friday at 11pm I was 10 beers and maybe 5 shots deep and still had another 3 hours of drinking (and four days of panic attacks and feeling miserable) ahead of me, made worse cos I’d drink the same on Saturday and then 2/3 of that on Sunday to help smooth the hangover.
Today I woke up at a good time, clear headed and am heading to the gym in a bit.
It feels wonderful.
Just wanted to give a shout out to everyone on this forum for the help and support. Whatever you’re battling - keep fighting the good fight!
You got this!! One day at a time…sometimes one minute or one hour at a time. You made it through Friday you can make it through today too! You’re doing great! Keep up the good work! Before you know it, you’ll have a hundred +++ sober Fridays under your belt! Going to the gym is awesome! You get all of those good endorphins flowing!
