Think’st thou that duty shall have dread to speak when power to flattery bows? To plainness honor’s bound when majesty falls to folly.

I’m not really sure what caused this flare up. Normally I get a hive like rash beforehand and it helps me identify the trigger but this time I woke up to swollen knees and feet and then it moved into my hands. I’m all better now. I need to get my challenge exercises done but I’m eating ice cream :joy:

Day 12 done after a 45 minute spin class. I’m back in full training mode, signed up for a triathlon in August. I will be insufferable until then, fair warning.

Isaac Asimov, Foundation’s Edge

There is no one so insufferable as a person who gives no other excuse for a peculiar action than saying he had been directed to it in a dream.

Day 13 finished. It was frickin’ gorgeous out on the bike this afternoon, close to 80° F with a moderate breeze off the lake cooling things off. 14 miles of fun!

Manny Huerta, Olympic triathlon athlete for Team USA and Team Puerto Rico

The key to success in triathlon is mental fortitude. Embrace the discomfort, stay focused, and keep pushing forward, no matter what.

You can say the same about sobriety.

Day 15, rest day for the challenge, but not for me! I recycled yesterday’s goals, and ran 3 miles in this glorious heat. Hot and humid like July, almost. That means rain is coming and lots of it and falling temps too. My son’s college graduation is outdoors on Saturday - they say bring sweaters and raincoats!

Muhammad Ali

I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion’.

Hi everyone, Ive been knocked off my feet for over a week with sone virus or bug. I spent most of my week off in bed.
