Meeting in Boston

Hi,
Does anybody know of a meeting in Boston that is friendly for women? I haven’t gone to AA yet, and I’m only a little over a week into being sober. I don’t live here and I’m nervous to walk into some place at night where I’ve never been.

I’m going to tag @Englishd in here for you as he is exceptionally knowledgeable and well placed to help you find meetings.

Thank you!!!

I found it difficult to go to new meetings. I felt awkward and it was not in my comfort zone. Once I forced myself to do it I found I enjoyed it. I got top meet new people. I heard stories that I could relate to. Not every meeting was my cup of tea but they were all interesting.

Its boston so I had to use a tea party reference lol

One of the best meetings I’ve attended was at a rehab in Plymouth. A real tough Portuguese fisherman talked about how he was unafraid of physical harm, like a Nor’Easter at sea, but he was bone chilling afraid of that 12 oz beer can.

I grew up there and surrounding areas. Did you get to enjoy Plymouth? It’s a beautiful spot.

We were on vacay on the Bay, staying on the landward side for the first time. It was a wonderful trip, I was sober, and my brother in law and doggie were both with us. They have passed over now, both of them, and I have those memories of that trip to cherish.
