Replace it with an image of a burning clown. It tragic, yet kinda funny.
So add to your pre-bedtime thoughts how cool you are as a Kung-Fu master, who also happens to have a flame-thrower. This way, when the dream clown is preparing to toss the spider-bomb into the fan, you can get all crouching tiger on him, while simultaneously incinerating the spiders.
Mind over matter.
