Me neither until one was taking up loads of room on a train and I asked the owner after making a joke about the dog. The guy said he likes it when people come up and say hi to the dog, being deaf can be really isolating and it’s a nice opportunity to chat to people. Obviously that’s just his opinion, not everyone will want the attention but you can definitely ask and it might even be appreciated
