So they just stay put and get eaten by the Ugly predators ?? 
Yes. It’s bizarre. I think David Attenborough did a documentary about how they have mass casualties amongst ugly predators once.
I was trying to tell @tailee17 that her Yunna was a cute turkey hunter.
But yes, biologically turkeys will stand their ground (ha) when faced with an ugly predator. This is why we all hope they fly away from us. 
Turkeys are also exceedingly stupid! 
Which makes Ben Franklin suggesting it as the National Bird hysterical!

Is it true that they can drown in a rainstorm because they look up at the sky with their mouths open? I could google but it’s more fun to ask the old fashioned way. On an internet forum. 
Technically most living creatures could drown that way, I suppose. However, all the turkeys I’ve ever known have roosted safely in rainstorms. That’s as far as their survival instincts go though. A whole flock walked up to me and a couple others because our storage unit was inundated with stink bugs. They wanted an easy meal! If I wasn’t so averse to taking life, I’d have taken that tom!
