Yes I am in the UK. The only time I know of the term Soda being used here is in a drink called Cream Soda, which comes in a can also and tastes really sweet like a liquid version of candy floss, I only really see it being sold in Fish & Chips shops.

I’m not from the South and my family calls it soda. My dad is from Southern Illinois, so it’s close. People out West also mostly call it soda, as far as I know, unless they’re from a “pop” region. Growing up in Iowa and Michigan in pop country was weird as a soda person. Pop always sounded so harsh, especially with the nasal Michigander accent. (shivers) Ha!

yeah NJ and NY is soda. PA also depending on how east in the state you are.
