I recently fired my new sponsor. We met to do step work and he starts telling me about this newcomer he met and how hot she was. He invited her to go hiking with us.
When she blew him off at the end of the evening, he was clearly distraught about it.
She was two weeks sober, still a train wreck. Not impressed with his behavior.
I don’t blame you. Kindof a dick move on his part.

I’m glad you fired your new sponsor @JasonFisher a real sponsor that cares about furthering people’s recovery in Alcoholics Anonymous would never pull a bullshit move like that. Proud of you Jason for seeing the situation for what it was. There are a lot of good sponsors out there. If I did that to one of my sponses around here, I would be ran out of town. I see it as a great responsibility because I’m not only helping another person stay sober I’m helping myself also. Use this as a learning experience that not all people in Alcoholics Anonymous or any organization for that matter are good people, some have alternative motives. Again Jason I’m proud of you my friend, stay focused, determined and pray, the right sponsor will come along. 
Tell me the bear didn’t fly that plane just to hassle the poor human for fish!
