True story…I was a Walmart store manager. I was outside helping push cars into the building and a mother said to her son, “that is why you go to college”. I responded, “Young man, I 100% agree. I loved getting my degree. I LOVED it so much I got my masters and my doctorate”. I then looked at the mother and said, “I graduated with honors, was a big 10 athlete, a decorated Military Officer as well”
She walked inside, asked for the store manager…and up I came. All I said, “Dont judge a book by is cover” and walked off.
