Good stuff!!
Yes, yes, yes!!
This one struck a cord. It has been important for me this past year or so to be okay with making a decision - just making it and being okay with that. I don’t always have the luxury of making ‘the best’…sometimes there is no ‘best’…all options are equally not great…but decide I still need to do that.
I needed that!
I was reading the other day in one of my AA books that sobriety is part of the initial awakening and basically in order for us to experience a full awakening to a life we can’t imagine, we have to continue on and not become complacent with the initial awakening experience. That really hit me because it would be easy for me to just sit here and be content with the peace and good feelings of just being sober but the sober life can go far beyond the absence of alcohol or DOC to a life that is thriving and full of usefulness to the people and the world around us. It can be a life of true freedom to go about this world and enjoy it in a way many people miss! That’s what gives me gratitude for being an alcoholic because I now have a chance to discover life in a way I’ve never thought about before ![]()
I always have and still love the phrase “Discovery is building ourselves a life we don’t feel the need to run from” - it’s Recovery originally but I prefer to use Discovery.
Thank you ![]()
This checklist is gold and a solid base to walk on stable ground daily. I’ve been doing most of it for quite some time now and it helps me tremendously to keep a good balance navigating life ![]()
#3 should be tattooed on my arm.
It takes me lots of time to listen to her podcasts, I’m tired after one episode. But I find them profound, relatable and insightful. Love 'm loads.
That’s some good stuff there!
