I am forever in love with SOAD. I think they are the only band that I can say I know every song word for word. Really disappointed on their ongoing bickering. But did you ever listen to scars on Broadway? Daron’s SoB seems the closest that we’ll ever get to new SOAD content

They’re great! When you have time, you should give scars on broadway a listen. Their first album is alot of fun but has its mellow sides, the second album has more energy but sounds a bit raw. Regardless, both albums are great and both have alot of SOAD sound. The first album had half of SOAD in it, the 2nd one is just daron by himself.

Agreed. It was ‘A Blaze in the Northern Sky’ that did it for me, but those earlier albums are all excellent.
I don’t listen to anywhere near as much metal as I used to, but there is still the odd new band that capture my attention. Have you heard Departure Chandelier? Really great I reckon
