Finally got around to watching this last week…

… And no I haven’t just finished watching it :joy::rofl:
It was very long though! I felt the start and the end sections were incredibly well paced, but did feel it dipped a few times in the middling hours. It could have had 20+ minutes scraped out in my final edit.

Altogether, I’m not sure what I thought. It was rather compelling, but also not completely satisfying. Some of the acting was a bit questionable (yes you, Mr Pearce).

3.8/5 *

I won’t be watching it again.

Yes I absolutely love this movie and it’s probably my favorite Quentin Tarantino movie!! I feel like this movie out of everything he’s made doesn’t get enough credit or views. I think it’s better than pulp fiction !!

I want to see that new Leonardo DiCaprio movie maybe by something Anderson is the Director? I saw a trailer a couple months ago but I’m not sure if it’s still in theaters I’m about to Google it and I’ll come back with an edit with the name!! That would be cool to see that in theaters I don’t remember the last time I went to a movie theater

Edit:

I don’t think it’s necessarily that Pulp Fiction is that good; it’s that when it came out, you didn’t see many (or any) popular films with a nonlinear structure. That, as well as QT’s blend of violence and humor, led to a lot of imitators. I’m no expert on QT’s career (and I might like Once Upon a Time the best of his films), but that’s where I think the love for Pulp Fiction comes from. (Ugh, damned autocorrect keeps trying to change it to Polyp Fiction, a very different film.)

I can’t wait to see this. I heard it’s more an ā€œinfluenced byā€ Pynchon’s Vineland (which looks at the 1960s through the 1980s, and vice versa) than the more literal interpretation PT Anderson made with Inherent Vice.

By your language and the way you’re talking it seems like you’re really into movies also! What is your favorite time period For movies? Mine would be the 90s for sure! I prefer basic for lack of better words drama movies with not a lot of special effects and more just realness. So many good movies came out in the 90s and a long time ago I found this thrift store that sold VHS’s for five cents so I was watching like three or four movies a day that’s when I first really got into them. When people ask what kind of movies I like I always use Shawshank redemption as a Example.. Those are the kind of movies are like

Yeah, I’m really into movies. I’m a ā€œliker,ā€ I can generally find something I like in every period or genre, but I particularly enjoy film noir and crime films. Things like Kubrick’s The Killing, Scorsese’s Mean Streets, Yates’ The Friends of Eddie Coyle, Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, Peckinpagh’s The Getaway. That kind of thing.

Flight with Denzel Washington is on Tubi! I’ve seen this movie at least two or three times but I might have to watch it again because it’s a very good representation of an alcoholic and very realistic

PS: Shutter Island is on Tubi as well they must’ve added a bunch of movies recently in the last couple days

Edit: I ended up going with American sniper With Bradley Cooper because I’ve never seen that before but I’m still definitely going to watch flight and shutter Island again! I really do love Tubi!! I forget that every couple weeks they upload a bunch of movies that are different or new or whatever..

Have you seen any of these @Dazercat .. Especially flight?

I love Flight. And American Sniper. They are so good.

If you like America Sniper. Check out Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg and Taylor Kitsh. Really great intense movie.

Don’t think I’ve seen Shutter Island.

Thanks for the suggestion lone survivor.. I probably should start posting these movies after I watch them but I just started American sniper about 30 minutes ago and I can already tell it’s going to be a really good movie that I’m going to watch more than once..

It’s weird how you can tell a movie is really good like right away! I always wonder or think about what makes a movie good like that where you can tell right away..

Anyway I’ll probably post some more about this American sniper movie when I get finished and then I’ll figure out where to watch the lone survivor

Ps: I really think you would like shutter Island! It has a really good cast and it’s the type of movie that you don’t want to get up or walk away from and can watch more than once
