Movies Check-in / Reviews šŸ“¼

I don’t know how I do it, but it came to my notice in the week that I hadn’t watched this Bridget Jones film…

How, you ask??? I have no idea how it passed me by, but it was good fun and silly and warm and just what my dark heart needed. My Sky package has Bridget Jones: Mad about the Boy for today’s film premiere, so I get to follow up with the newest movie this weekend.

Just a thought for anyone needing to watch a cute and timeless comedy cannon.

3.5 pieces of blue string (in my soup) out of 5.

I’m currently halfway through a movie called The Ring which is a scary or horror type movie. Usually when I watch a movie I take my time and I also research about the movie while I’m watching it because I love film and there is a lot of interesting things about this movie especially the advertising they did in 2002 for the movie and also it’s interesting that this is a remake of the 1998 movie of the same name which I find really interesting because most of the time a remake is decades or years later but this is only Four years later and They did a remake.

I also read that this was one of the most successful horror remakes of all time.. I never watch these kind of movies and the truth is I say that I don’t like them but that’s a lie ..it’s not that I don’t like them its that I actually get scared pretty easily. Just now I went to the bathroom and I was afraid something was going to jump out and get me or something lol

I posted a screenshot of the Marketing they did for this movie and it’s really interesting from a business standpoint.. Putting tapes of the cursed video on random cars and random places.. Genius

Currently watching Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo I think his name is? This is the second time I’ve seen this movie and I think it’s really awesome and I give it a nine out of 10! I like movies where the setting is mental hospitals Or asylums.. Guess it’s because I understand to a certain degree. I don’t know what you would classify this movie as whether it’s mystery or suspense or whatever but like I said it’s the kind of movie that you know right away it’s going to be good. When I get done watching it I’m going to research about some behind-the-scenes type stuff and some specifics on Wikipedia. I’m willing to bet they made three or four times what the budget cost was as far as box office/ sales and profit. I’m also pretty sure this is a Martin Scorsese film. He really can’t do wrong or bad.

Can’t believe this film came out 15 years ago

Watching on Tubi but I’m sure it’s on other streaming services

The only movie that really scared tf out of me.
I was 9 watching that with my friend.

We shut that shit off halfway through lmaoo.

Then I go back home the next day, and my aunt was watching that movie, and she was at the part that I left off at.

Psychological thriller.

You have to watch it like 3 or 4 times just to catch everything.

Top 25 movie.

If they have it, youll like ā€œEx-Machinaā€

Yeah you definitely have to watch it a couple times to pick up on things. Even if it’s not that type of movie I like to watch a couple different times because I like finding discrepancies in movies or picking up on things That the directors purposely did or whatever. I’m really interested in film and have always been watching movies at least one a day.. Plus I have a pretty cool DVD collection. Also like I said usually afterwards I will learn about how the movie did as far as budget and read the reviews and see if I agree plus behind-the-scenes type stuff. Thanks for that movie suggestion is ex machina.. I’ll look that up!!

Out of the crazy amount of movies I’ve seen so far in my 36 years of life I would say there will be blood with Daniel day Lewis is my favorite movie so far that I’ve seen. It’s kind of slow in the beginning but I think everything is awesome the acting, the editing, the way it was directed and The writing. Probably seen that movie at least six times. That movie makes me want to hustle and work hard in my life but also makes me cautious of money and what It can do

Indeed I understand that a lot.

Interesting..

Anyways we got Gladiator with Russel Crowe..

I even named my son after an emperor in that movie.

First watched when I was 8 or 9 and damn. Lol. Game over.:rofl:

Fight club could be in the mix for a close #1.

If you never seen either, oh man, and Fight club will definitely go in your insta classics.

That’s wild, I was going to re-watch that movie one of these days. I rarely watch movies anymore. But, ive been seeing shorts on it, on YouTube and im like, yo we gotta go back..

Book of Eli was a great movie.

I’ve seen gladiator and fight club both are really great movies. Probably my favorite era for movies is the 90s because they’re just simple good movies and I like that it’s not a lot of special effects or craziness it’s just good writing and good acting and good movies.. I actually read the fight club book before I saw the movie which to be honest I’m not even really a big reader..

As far as Russell Crowe I recently watched Cinderella Man Which was really good That was the second time that Russell Crowe and Ron Howard worked together because Ron Howard directed Cinderella Mind and a beautiful mind. Russell Crowe was in a beautiful mind as lead actor
