Hello,
I have white-knuckled my way alone to 3 months clean, but really am curious what these meetings are all about. The problem is that I don’t know the first place to even start looking for one. Does anyone know of any in the area I stated? Or some resource I can use to find one close to me.
Also, what can I expect to walk into? What was your first experience in a meeting like?

What to expect is a group of people that know what you are going through. Some just starting out, others may have more experience but none the less the story they share will probably be very similar to the one in your head. It will be a little awkward your first time. What isn’t but I will say in just a few minutes you will see so many people that walked away from hell. I hope you find as much from a meeting as I have.
I went to one twice while I was down there 2 weeks ago, it was at Holmes Beach on Saturday mornings at 10am. A very nice lady named Merry was the leader. They meet at the picnic tables under the trees just north of the restaurant. I also heard very good things about the one on Sunday morning, at 9am I believe. But try to go on Sat & meet Merry, you’ll love her. Best wishes to you!
