Neat sleep science article

Hot on the heels of my Stupid Sleep Poll, I ran across this interesting article just published linking non-REM sleep cycles to the clearing of toxins in the brain.

It’s a first measurement indicating that electrical activity during slow-wave sleep is directly related to cerebrospinal fluid washing over the brain. Yes, actual brainwashing! :star_struck:

Don’t forget the T in HALT, y’all. Brain fog be damned!

I just read The Power of When, a book based on the science of our sleep cycle and the importance of getting consistent and adequate sleep based on your needs (which is genetically determined).
There’s an interesting way to determine what kind of sleeper you are and based on that, what ways you can improve on your everyday life…I’ll link the quiz so you can see what your chronotype is

Hmmm… I was so sure I’d be a squirrel. Are you sure about this thing? :bear:

Probably not lol I mean it’s science based but I’m not sure how practical the suggestions are with everyone’s busy and rigid lifestyles. I’m a lion so I guess it’s a little fitting lol🦁

Interesting article about “cerebrospinal fluid, a clear, water-like liquid that flows around the brain” :exploding_head::brain:
