Flo, you are making a great decision in your life. There are plenty of people in here that will encourage you in your journey. There’s light and freedom in this walk of sobriety. Welcome. Here’s to reclaiming your health and being the mum you want to be.
This is an excellent reason to stop drinking. It is my main motivation (though I do believe I am an alcoholic). My mother died in her late 60s…her mother and father both died in their late 60’s…I don’t want to be on that same track. I plan to live well into my 90s!!! Alcohol is just not an option if I want that.
Hug your daughter as often as you can…she will be your daily reminder of why you want to do this.
