Just started and totally in love with After Life.
With Ricky Gervais. I’ve heard of it. But I put it on the back burner. Never thought I’d want to watch a show about a depressed guy when his wife dies. But Ricky is killing it. I highly recommend.
Last weekend opened a netflix account for the first time, share it with some others here at the farm. I’m now totally hooked to La casa de papel, or ‘money heist’, which they chose as horrible english title.
Ah yeah, bread, rent, traintickets, you name it… prices always go up, never down. Must have something to do with capitalism. I’ll check if they have a documentary on that
If you haven’t seen it yet I say do… Kate Winslet is utterly brilliant in this. The ending might have been a little bit less… American I guess. Still great watching all around IMO.
Getting ready to watch Mayor of Easttown as I just finished up Succession last night.
I know this thread is for Netflix, but I pushed pause on Netflix as they are so easy to start back up with. Why pay the monthly fee? I’m watching a lot on HBOMax right now. Tons of great shows. Will go back to Netflix after I’ve exhausted HBO and Hulu. Ozarks is getting ready to release, so excited for that when I get back to them.
I take ‘Netflix’ as referring to whatever is bingeable, from whatever streaming or live tv service. Netflix, Disney, HBO, Videoland (Dutch), Hulu, whatever. And just like Flo I keep starting and stopping subscriptions at will.
I totally agree, HBO max and Hulu are probably 90% of what I watch nowadays.
I watched Dopesick the other week (on Hulu), easily one of the top 5 best shows I’ve ever seen. It ties into sobriety a lot as well. I was so sad there were only 8 episodes.
I can’t wait to start Mare Of Eastown when we get back home. I’m saving Succession for when we get back to Flag. I just love a show where I hate all the disgusting characters . Not a redeeming one in the bunch.
We had to finish up Goliath. It’s not on Netflix maybe Prime. The first 2 seasons, more so the first season takes place around here in Santa Monica. So it’s kind of cool to watch. We’re even going to Chez Jay where a lot of it was filmed in the beginning Tuesday night just for fun before we leave. And we love Billy Bob Thorton.
I’m watching Hanna on Prime and Stay Close on Netflix. I’ve also been watching a goofy one called The Righteous Gemstones on HBO - pretty dark humor poking major fun at the big business of religion.
