Hungry, angry, lonely, and tired are normal. It sounds like you had a frustrating but productive day. Hang in there, stay sober, and good days will come. The tired and hungry take awhile to subside. Angry goes away quicker. Lonely gets better when you are sober and more motivated and awake. Day 6 is a great achievement!!! Keep repeating I can and will make it to day 10.

Mind your triggers and stay away from tempting situations (especially on the weekend). Easier said than done, but you got this!!!
Congratulations :tada::confetti_ball::champagne: on day 3!!!

300 days of not drinking alcohol. I don’t know exactly how to measure progress in “sobriety” yet, but I feel like I continue to make strides. Progress in that regard is definitely not linear - maybe looks something like this.

the dips are where life just really kicks my ass and not drinking is harder. But there is progress. And I will not drink on the dips.

@Corndog! Perfect!

You mind hopping over to combined sober days thread and scrolling on down to add yours to the pile? :grinning:

Thanks. I plan to attempt to catch up on yard work and start an inventory for my yardsale. I’ve had tons of energy so i might squeeze in a surf if it doesn’t get rained out. Trying to stay busy and get a little done without getting too overworked is the key.

Heck yes, Tom! Mind showing our Cubbies how a win streak like that is done? :bear: :wink:

Good on ya, buddy.

Day 367. I think tomorrow might be my last day of work. The CEO wants to meet with me to discuss a recent email interaction I had with one of the executives. My boss is pretty heated because I didn’t cc him on these emails, but just know, I’m right!! And I wont go down without a fight! So, I’ll likely be fired tomorrow. That’s ok, while I like what I do, I don’t like the company one bit. :smiling_imp:

A thing like that would give me such stress @Dejavu :pensive:
Is it easy to find a new job in your kind of work if you need to? Hope it will turn out fine tomorrow :crossed_fingers:

Oh shit. With you in spirit. Combine that kick ass attitude with cool serene looks. And you’ll beat him (at least in spirit)

Day 24 check-in
Tooth abscess is almost cured now. But it was really really painful. Lots of painkillers, ibuprofene and antibiotics. But no alcohol for sure.

Megan! Hope things are good with you. I’m back on here again too. Had a rough time since January but trying to get it back together again myself.

Day 373 :coffee:
Tired and grumpy…
I’m not at my best in autumn/winter time. When the days starts to shorten my mood gets a downfall. I think for a bit it’s the lack of daylight and for the most it’s me hating the dark ànd the cold. I florish when the sun is shining and I can wear a t-shirt. Just simple.
So now the rain kicks in and fallen leaves everywhere and feeling irritated makes me searching for my day light lamp.
So found him and he’s loading now so I can use it tomorrow.
Maybe I have to go to bed early tonight, that might help too. Hate myself feeling this way :pensive:

There are only a handful of casinos in the area here, but I can work anywhere. I’m not worried :wink:

Aw chin up Buts! I totally know the feeling-he’ll, I ran to Europe for all of September to get away from the changing of seasons! :sweat_smile: but I find comfort in fireplaces, hot drinks and really good books. I enjoy “turning over a new leaf” once fall comes/change out my clothes, put my comforter on with flannel sheets…there is a simple beauty to autumn. Before the stores begin to get crazy and the holiday rush begins…this is my first fall sober so I’m going to take it one day at a time, as should you :heart: if anything enjoy the subtle changes of the greenery around you everyday…:grin: ps your cat is beautiful
