No alcohol equals no erections? #awkward#

Hi Rob. Well done! 666 days is very nice. Are you still noticing some improvement in cognitive functions?
Different research I checked says anything from 2 months to 7 years for best healing/recovery after alcohol.

Porn cant be good, just my first thought… But it may take time to see the full benefits after stopping. I hope you keep going on your current path. It seems you got this figured out pretty well. :+1:

Thanks Freddy, it has been a long road and still very hard work. It seems you are well aware that it needs time. First step is getting sober, according to information I received in rehab (I had four and a lot of other things) it takes around 18 months for the brain to recover the best it can. After that there might indeed be continuing improvements. But like they use the say, I have enough of those cells (No one ever called me stupid at least then in that respect ), but my cognitive power was one of my tools to build a lot of smoke screens and coping mechanisms around my void/pain etc. It’s just recently diagnosed as PTSS after first considered ADHD. This was only possible being a long time sober, is it nice at the moment? Not really, they are stabilizing me until I get proper treatment for i (waiting time for trauma center are quit long). But I’m just we’re I need to be. Slowly back a bit to work but my therapists insist on keeping myself trigger free as much as possible, so just very slow and a lot of rest.

Well done on your sober time, keep on the train.

Thank you! You have done a great job so far. Really inspiring for me :sun_with_face:
I believe & hope that you will keep crushing it even with the tough ptsd.Just shitty you have to suffer extra due to the long wait for proper treatment.

I’m looking forward to the 18 month mark they mentioned to you in rehab. I read so many different timelines but they should have it figured out.
Today is a good day.

Some of it might be due to drinking, and some age/lifestyle related. High Cholesterol and elevated blood pressure are two contributors, as well as nicotine. This is why it’s important to eat healthy and exercise to speed the healing of the damage alcohol has caused to the body. Then, when you’ve done everything you can do, there are medications that can help with ED.

Hi community  I just wanted to inform that my condition reversed back to normal finally.

Being sober is cool, I hope I never forget how good I feel now compared to before.
I have been to several big parties and actually enjoy being there. And my friends love the free ride home afterwards.

Thank you for all the support and stories shared. Its amazing to have access to it all in my pocket.
Peace, Freddie
