Welcome! Day 140 for me. It is amazing to live in sobriety.

I have habitually consumed porn for the past 11 years. I had sexual issues before that though. Progressing through recovery requires accountability and support, and a daily focus on sobriety.

I have lived the past handful of years in complacency. I wasnt in the thrall of the addiction anymore, but wasnt actively fighting it either. I’d go a month or more without using, feeling pretty good, and then crash and burn for several days. No more though. I’ve figured that out. Cannot give in to complacency.

Weekend were always tough good me too, so much free time. Keep doing what you’ve been doing the last week and another sober day will be your reward!

I’m cool with that price.

I relapsed 3 times… What should i do? I am tensed… please help… @SmokeyMirror @DungeonMaster @Yoda-Stevie @Pirate

First thing to do is take a breath!
Now think about what was going on around you and in your head before you relapsed. Now think about what you can differently so in the future when those same stresses happen you don’t relapse. And possibly most important of all is forgive yourself!

I think it’s time to go and reset your psyche. Go for a run, or to the gym, meditate, read scripture. Get perspective on life. Spend time in nature or looking over the cityscape. Realize that this life is bigger than just you and that your HP is what you need.

Then get to a meeting, or work your program. Your relapse isn’t the end. You did well before, you will do well in the future. It’s a setback.

One great thing about sobriety is that now relapses aren’t the norm, they’re out of the norm. Even if you’re relapsing constantly, the mindset is no longer constantly searching for a fix. You’re breaking the cycle.
