There was a community garden near the gym that hosted the Hyrox Mini comp. 
Can you spot the butterflies in the pictures? I’ve been considering doing something like this in my back yard.

There were butterflies everywhere. 
I’ve been wanting to do something similar for a year now but I don’t know where on my property. If I do it in the front lawn, I’ll have to keep it tidy otherwise the village will say something.

I’m in the office three days a week so I haven’t noticed until now (my work from home day).
About two weeks ago, my coworker gave me a plant that she propagated. The little flowers are blooming! According to Dr. Google, this is a holiday cactus — most likely a Thanksgiving cactus. She also added a nice touch with the bunnies.
Hopefully I can keep it alive. 
As for Cuervo, the agave, he has been brought inside for the year. I feel so bad for him because he gets so skinny in the wintertime. 
Posted about dorstenia gigas before. Grow on cliffsides on the island of Socotra, which is just off the coast of Yemen. Managed to find one locally, but just a cutting. Seed-grown generally produces heftier, more impressive specimens but I will take what I can get. It’s from a local nursery, biggest one I know of, about 30 mins from me. I was going there for a few years before I learned that they are apparently a world-renowned desert plant distributor.
Even THEY don’t have anything seed-grown. The owner told me your best chance of finding one is in California, and even then still tricky.
So I have my wee twig that will someday be a beefy tree. Thought I killed it via repotting stress since it dropped all but 1 leaf in the aftermath, but this morning I spy some new growth forming

Might remember when I bought/potted a pair of titanopsis calcarea last autumn.
They’ve grown quite a lot and are just starting their growing season this yr (autumn/winter growers), so it’s a good time to move to something bigger. Bought two new small ones to fill it out. These plants form dense mats of leaves, and even in a year or two this bowl should fill up around the rocks really nicely.

And an update on my yucca that lives on my front stoop. First photo is 3 months ago, and I moved it out here from the greenhouse back in February. It’s doing really well out here! One of my favorite plants that I have. One of my favorite pots, too.
