I hear you on that. He is my soul dog.
Was going through an old laptop and found this pic of very small Chief, about a week before we met and he became my family.
The Boston in the top right is actually his Mom or Dad, can’t remember which, but was an absolutely gorgeous dog. Gray and white with crystal blue eyes. Not to say I don’t love my chocolate-colored Chiefy. My favorite part is that Chief’s build and default stance are exactly the same as his parents’.
This pic made me happy but also really sad for how fast time has gone by for us. God I love him so much. We’ve been through so much together. He’s almost 9 now, and I have had him since he was 10 weeks old. I remember how small and nervous he was at first. I brought him home in a blanket that he still has, it’s his favorite thing. He was the last remaining of his litter, nobody wanted him because he was the runt and had difficulty walking early on. I think I got the best of the bunch. First dog that was mine and mine alone, and the first I raised from a puppy.
Feeling grateful for the time we have had together, and god willing, plenty more to come. Love you, baby boy.
Pic is almost a year old but one of my favorites.
Aww what a loving tribute to Chief. What a handsome guy
Beautiful boy!
I love baby Chief
Baby Chief gives me puppy fever lol
I wish I was an unemployed dog in a middle class home.
So I wasn’t going to get another dog but I stopped by the humane society on my lunch break last Friday. I walked out with this old gal. I named her Betty. We are coexisting peacefully with the bunnies. Betty just needs to learn that she cannot play with them due to her size.
Hey Betty!
Welcome Betty. What a lucky dog!
