@Matt it’s a floating replica of an alligator head. Whether it’s for looks alone or has function, I don’t know.

That’s a great setup, and such cool frogs.
I raised bearded dragons for years. I also raised their food - dubia roaches. Had a colony of roughly 5,000 at one point. Never got used to having that in my living room!
Never got into frogs or humid weather lizards just because it seemed like SO much work and monitoring.

Keeping the humidity up used to be a problem, but now we’ve got the automatic mister set up it keeps it up at around 70% which is fine for our 3 boys and a girl 
When we get the tree frogs that’s going to have to be up to a minimum of 80%, but there’ll be more living foliage and that will help.

So very grateful that you did stop to look inside. Driving by this little turtle could have easily been missed. What fucktards thought it was ok to leave a pet on the curb like that? Treating something living like trash is so disgusting and is making me wanna get violent and cry at the same time.
You are right not to confront these people. Obviously humanity is missing from their DNA and I do believe Karma doles out justice.

So I named him “ Mikey “. He is starting to be aggressive. So I read how to combat that behavior with love, calm and kindness. Pick him up often (working on that) and hand feed him. He follows me around so I continue to talk soothingly. He is named after hubby and we did joke that their personalities are similar.
