Meet Reg the Florida Regal Jumping Spider, “Phidippus Regius C.L. Koch” , and his new home.
He’s only a spiderling at 5mm long, but he’ll quadruple that in the coming months

He’s in his resting nest, he doesn’t use webs to catch his prey he actively hunts them down.
I think he may be on the verge of a moult as he’s not that hungry but he has eaten and violent it was

Found this sweet little guy (or girl) in the wooded area behind my house today. After asking around the neighborhood, found out neighbors threw it outside because they “didn’t want it anymore.” It was 95 degrees today! I’m trying to find it a good home for it, but until i do, i guess i have a bunny. I put it in a cage i had, got it water and ran to the store for food. It will be spending the night in the garage since i can’t bring it inside due to having cats. It can stay on the patio during the day i guess. I have no idea what im doing

Bunny update! My sister in law found the bunny a home. I’ll have to keep it one more day before they can pick it up. It’s going to a family with kids who are in 4-H, so they’ll know how to care for it
