Pet Pics & Shenanigans! #6

They have a dog named Foxy and she looks like the Fox :sob: I didnā€™t have time to walk her today. I may or may not end up with a dog from this but for now I am holding strong and just giving them lovings. Bella was super sweet. I walked her for a bit and then I sat on a bench and she sat next to me and just loved her head into my leg. Sesame seemed scared, she didnā€™t want to walk near the traffic or really at all. She looks malnourished so Iā€™m wondering if she might be new. They didnā€™t really give me any information. I filled out a waiver and they said just go pick a dog :woman_shrugging:t2:

:joy: The hubs gets a primary vote and Haley will have the final say. The hubs has been wanting a dog he can take to work because he drives a lot and Iā€™m wanting one that I can train to run with me. He likes Bella @Dirk We are talking about going together either tomorrow or friday to walk more. I think itā€™s a really good way to get to know them before we bring anyone home. I want to do a meet and greet with Haley before bringing anyone home

Glad you both like Bella, she will go to the best and most loving of homes! :star_struck:

I was only joking - as much as I would like a dog, I think the responsibilities are a bit overwhelming for now and I donā€™t want to end up not being able to provide properly for a dog and drinking as a result of the stress brought on by being overwhelmed. So instead, I walk the neighborsā€™ dogs every once in a while for now!

He is large compared to other dogs and can be quite aggressive at times but heā€™s very loving and gentle with everyone in our family. My wife says that he is like Aryaā€™s wolf from Game of Thrones.

I was suppose to go back friday but it was raining and cold and then today I have been dealing with an upset stomach. We are going to West Texas tomorrow to finish Christmas shopping so I plan to go back monday for more walking. We are ready for a new dog. We use to have 4 so the house feels very empty now that we are down to 1. But on the other hand I am scared of ruining Haleyā€™s senior years.

How old is Haley? A very young dog might not be fun for her. But a dog that is chill and done with puppy craziness might be a nice companion for her. Youā€™ll do the right thing! Have fun shopping and I hope you feel better.

We just celebrated her being with us for 10 years. When I found her the vet aged her at 2-3 so somewhere around 12ish

She doesnā€™t really play much anymore with toys and her walks are slow and short (about .75 of a mile or less)
The very first one I walked was super chill but I want to walk more. I feel like itā€™s a super good way to help them with some exercise and see how they are.

This may be a dumb idea, but: can Haley not come on the next walk(s) so you can see if/how she engages with the other dog?
