I’m trying to help my boys slim down too. So far I’ve moved to a higher protein, grain free food but nothing helps unless I use portion control.

Yes I went to high protein and didn’t measure amount. Here is what our vet said. Higher protein does not mean less calories. Was I feeding per bag instructions? No I wasn’t. Vet ok with high protein for active dog but feed amount per instructions of what she should weigh. Holy cow I definitely had been giving way over instructed amount. We also were boiling chicken to go along with dry and vet said don’t. Yunna has done great with change in diet. However I am anxious and think I gained weight.

Same! I did not look into anything beyond grain free/high protein but I looked last night and have adjusted my feeding accordingly. Water is high energy as usual but Bird is very focused on adopting/eating a little tuxedo cat that keeps showing up at our window after dark.
Maybe the boys get a cousin?

This is what happens to a sweet, chubby-face boy when he doesn’t get his wet food…
He knocks all of the (blessed) braided palms off of the shelf, and then systematically untwist them, whilst stopping periodically to see if I’ve had enough…
This is addict behavior and super toxic. 
He tried to be sweet and cuddly…now he’s throwing a fit.

Sorry .. last minute my dad wants to take the newer iPad so im left with the one I can’t use for talking sober because of browser and update issues and have a flip phone but I wasn’t about to say no to my dad. Just got the iPad back and have so many photos to go through. It was a great 8 days. We did some outside adventures and watched peaky blinders mostly.. Made a lot of food and I gave tucker lots of attention and love.. will make a post very shortly . The time went way too quick.. wish I could go back to last week !!
