Driving home on the 101 through Calabassas

Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing
They’re building a wildlife crossing bridge :man_shrugging: I like the idea. Some don’t. It’ll be the largest wildlife corridor in the world.

It’s a real shame all this will be :100: brown soon and for the rest of the year until it rains again in January February

What are the arguments against the wildlife corridor? I can’t think of a single good one, other than the cost to build it.

Cost mostly. But it is also privately funded too. Disruptions on the highway. And also could bring more predators into neighborhoods. I guess the road kill was so high they decided to do something about it. There’s mountain lions. I haven’t seen any. And bobcats and coyotes and stuff around. But I reckon they’re on both sides anyway.

When I first got here I thought it was a bridge to nowhere  I had to google it. There’s no exit or on-ramps. Just this bridge construction.

I’m all for preventing road kill. It’s kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Not my back yard.
But 20 minutes down the road I walk.
Made me think of your back yard.

Except for the Santa Monica mountains
