This is probably the most tweaker free zone in Oregon. Its the RV park I stay at. This would be my view if my RV was 36 stories tall.

Rather eerie!!! Boat (and car) graveyards make me sad. I know…weird. There are enough things in the world to make me sad…so…yeah…

Wooden boats are alive? Sounds like a Stephen King kind of a thing. OK…now not only am I sad…now I’m kinda scared.

My husband and I are making a huge move to Arizona in a few weeks. So much anticipation and nervousness but excited to experience desert life. 
The next few weeks I’m going to let go and enjoy some of my favorite hiking spots in TX. Today I hiked a wildlife refuge I have spent many days finding solace and refuge of my own since I was a small child.

I moved to Arizona from Massachusetts about 5 years ago. Big change. Drove across the country with my dog while most of my belongings were shipped.
It’s a great place to live and (in my opinion) the summer heat is pretty manageable. Amazing plants and wildlife, and a great place for the outdoors. It’s also more affordable than where I came from.

We’re bringing our crazy cat with us, which should be interesting on the drive lol. He actually seems pretty ready though, he’s obsessed with his travel carrier 
My husband is from there, so thankfully he’s been preparing me a bit for what to expect. Texas gets really hot too, but the humidity makes it feel extra icky. I’m definitely looking forward to the drier heat and summer.
Moving from MA must have been a huge change, but I’m glad you have found happiness and enjoyment there!
We were really lucky to find a place near the mountains that wasn’t much more than what we are paying here. Plus, the area is perfect for a more active lifestyle. We both enjoy walking to places over driving. We’ve been talking about getting a couple of bikes so we can hit the trails.

Yeah, he’ll do just fine, especially if he’s already comfortable/likes his carrier.
I know what you mean…summers in MA weren’t TX or Arizona hot, but the humidity was pretty rough. It’s down to the individual, but for me, 110 and 0 humidity is so much more tolerable than 90 and high humidity. Humidity makes me fatigued and nauseous. Takes the life outta ya.
Other side of the seasons - I’ll never have to shovel show again. I’ve only seen it once in 5 years.
Depending on where you are, you may get summer monsoons as well - those are freakin cool.

A few weeks left of it, I’m hopeful mostly over now. We’ll see. We usually get a last kick in the arse in March/April so fingers crossed that doesn’t happen, lol.
And yes, I am very blessed. I never take for granted where I was able to land considering how hard I tried to mess it all up through the years.
It’s a good life that I have finally come to fully appreciate.
