Podcasts compilation (2018 to present)

There’s some good ones listed here too:

For anyone interested, there are a few German-speaking podcasts as of lately:

  • Sodaklub (Dates ohne Drinks is one of the hosts blog, also recommended)
  • Medium Dry
  • Ohne Alkohol mit Nathalie
  • me/sober

Alcoholism and sobriety seem to be much more taboo and less spoken about in this part of Europe (in my experience), compared to what I read about you in the US. That’s why I LOVE seeing more and more podcasts and blogs in German (or any other european language)

Thanks everyone!

I like Rich Roll. That dude is super inspiring.

The Bubble Hour is a good one I have listened to. I think all women.

I find it hard sometimes to sit and read books around sobriety and to take in the information so I’ve started looking for podcast and getting to hear about people’s experiences, Can anyone recommend any podcasts or anything they listen to rather than just reading the literature?

Thanks

This Naked Mind was, and still is, great for me.
Good luck.

Alan Watts is my go to. His voice is so calming and he was a man of incredible wisdom. He focuses heavily on psychology and the exploration of the self, and an understanding of human nature, which helps me better understand myself, and what drives my thoughts and actions. There are many of his recorded lectures online…I only wish he was still around, to make daily podcasts. …but the recordings are just as valuable to me

I listen to him occasionally before bed. Very relaxing and insightful

I know this is all about sobriety but as someone who struggles with addiction as well as other mental health issues, this podcast is highly recommended.

Let’s talk about mental health by Jeremy Godwin

Trust me I’m not big on podcasts but if you’re looking for guidance in any area check his podcasts out on your choice of streaming service. I listen through Spotify, but I’m sure if you Google it you’ll find lots of stuff related.

Hi Mia there’s a few threads referencing podcasts,

I personally follow some podcasts but not sober related, this is about the only sober activity I do, I found that keeping myself occupied with the million other things I have to do really stops me from drinking or using

I highly recommend checking this one out then. It’s my favorite!

I’m listening to sober awkward. It’s really funny and brutally honest. Which is so necessary for me. I don’t doxgood with trying to read btw other people’s lines. You want me to know something? Tell me straight up.

I also listen to Killer psyche. It’s forensics FBI. Fun, … I guess? I like it.

Lots of others too but those are the most recent and most played.

I’d love to hear anyone else’s podcasts, addiction related or not.
