This is a Shefflerra which is more of a tree. What you described sounds more like a Hoya. You should post a photo over in one of the plant threads!
Hoya…sounds…perhaps yes k I’m going to research that Hoya thank you. Ah! There’s a plant thread…lol of course there is and wonderfully so lol. That’s the thing I have no idea what it was so thank you for the interaction.
