That would make a nice framed picture, T!
He is a photogenic dog. Flood the thread!
Awe look at that sweet face!
Obviously not my petā¦ but saw this online today look how cute he is! Omg I canāt even!! I need a dog
She was the only reason I would get upā¦ She gave me a reason to live when I really didnāt want to.
I owe her everything stupid to say but she has been my rock through everything.
Weāve been homeless, weāve slept on the streets together!
And she sleeps in a bed next to me.
Love for an animal is deepā¦ Iāve spent my last Ā£5 on her as she deserved the food more than me
Oh my goodness!!! Little chunky wrinkles are soooo cute. Lady was gorgeous and clearly much loved.
Quiet time with my olā man Chucho after a scary (likely cardiac) episode. Heās comfy and snoring now. Any plans I had this afternoon can wait. How do you tell an old dog who thinks heās still a puppy to not do dog things? To not get too excited playing and running around in the yard? Ugh. Itās so hard.
I know that look wellā¦āUm, hello!? Iām right here!ā Beautiful eyes.
I guess I can do a little update while Iām lurking around the app. B has continued to have āepisodesā and vision/ hearing issues. So I took him to a neurologist last Tuesday. She said he is either got a mass in his brain, or has epilepsy, so we didnāt actually get any answers for that. That was exactly what I figured going in. MRI is $$$$ but may be in our future depending on how things progress with him.
He also saw a doggy eye doctor. That doc says he has progressive retinal atrophy. It is an inhertied trait (one of a few he has, which is how I ended up with him. Thanks bad breeding!) He also has a few cataracts starting, but with the atrophy it would be useless to do anything with them, as he would still be going blind. So the seizure activity and sight issues are not directly related. His vision just happened to start getting worse this year, when everything else started going a little sideways.
Anyway, heās 9 now, and been with me for 8 years. I am pretty hopeful that we have another couple years together. Heās definitely one of the best pups Iāve ever had the luck to rescue.
Aw. Poor guy. Thatās terrible. Heās so lucky to have a mom like you. . I hope heās not in much pain and that you are able to control his pain if he his.
God Bless little heart.
Ah arenāt they all, they leave such a big hole when they die.
Have been struggling with it more recently, probably because we have a new dog coming. Although our neighbour brought her round last night as sheād just opened her eyes. So adorable and very exciting! Didnāt get a pic cos it was just a quick visit but she has got big. Still wrinkly though! Donāt know when they will grow out but hopefully not too soon cos itās very cute
Aww wishing you and B all the best
Only very anecdotal but I heard CBD oil is good for epilepsy in dogs.
Poor Chucho although good to hear heās still in good spirits!
We may start a cbd regimen soon. So far his āseizuresā seem to be Atypical, which has us leaning more towards a mass in his brain. We are waiting for a couple more test results to come in before we move forward with any definitive treatment plan.
Nell basically lives belly up. These are all the last 24 hours, when Iāve been around anyway. Iām sure I missed a few naps while I was gone yesterday.
