Glad we have a great deck to spend our isolated afternoons with all the pets.

@Frandango. How do you like my Cats On Deck?
@Frandango
Yes we are blessed to have an amazing home with an amazing deck. The deck really sealed the deal when we bought the house.
I believe the Gray’s as I call them. (The 2 gray tabbies) are just regular cats. Maverick was rescued from a shelter by my son during his early recovery. And Daisy, I rescued from the cold and snow on a drunk New Year’s Eve in the mountains of Durango. We didn’t need a 4th cat but I got tired of watching her the month of December in cold wandering house to house for food.
@Apes2020
All our rescued cats end up being indoor cats. We bought the Cats On Deck (cage) for them to lounge in outside on our deck a few years ago. It was a chore to assemble. They love it😻 Especially Mavy.
It’s so funny, after wifey and I are done our exercising and power walk late in the morning the 4 of them come running to the deck door and just wait for us to pick them up and carry them outside. It’s also heartbreaking in the cold winter months when we won’t take them out.
Oh my goodness, they are beautiful and look blissfully happy!
You did the right thing taking in the 4th cat, I would have done the same, no question about it.
We live in the countryside in the UK and our cat wanders aroun freely. He has a cat flap so can come and go as he pleases, yet often still insists on you opening the door for him. He is spoiled.
I would love a dog too, but my husband and I both work full time and are often out of the house all day.
If I didn’t have to work, my home woul be full of animals!
Thank you for sharing your pictures, they’re lovely and you’re so lucky to live where you do
Ya those dogs are a lot of work. And so needy. And cats are like crisps you can’t just have one.
I’m so jealous where you live. I’d trade you my great big deck and house to live in the English countryside. England is my favorite country. Wifey and I did our honeymoon there. Stayed in a thatched roof cottage in Blewbury for a few days and drove all the way to Lands End stopping here and there on the way. And then into Wales. I lived in London back in 78/79 and worked at the Savoy. I still have a friend who lives In Croydon. Many a night after work and hitting the pub I’d get on the train and be rocked to sleep only to wake up in Brighton or Hastings or Ore depending which end of the train I was in.
Everything may be bigger in America but that don’t mean it’s better. I’d die for a good Chippy.
I’ll trade right now! I’m in the English countryside too but would die for your deck… I’d eat, sleep and everything else on that deck, it’s amazing .
Fancy a holiday swap? We’re not thatched but there’s a good chippy nearby…
Just a cotton picking minute there @PinkyP, get in the queue! Lol I found @Dazercat first! I’d love to be out on that deck with those lovely animals.
Maybe we could all swap homes in turn??
@Dazercat I can’t believe how well you know the UK, I’m so impressed.
You should come back when all this nonsense is over, although it’s difficult to go anywhere when you have furry friends to look after.
We live in a tiny village near Bradford-On-Avon now but I’m originally from Bristol. Love all the places you mentioned.
Oooops, sorry frandango, sounded so nice, just couldn’t resist
I know what you mean! Maybe we should go over together? It does look amazing
You’re on

I’d love a Holiday swap. Plenty of room on the deck for all. But it is Arizona. And it’s awfully dry around here and there’s a really bright very hot sun. Probably burn y’all to a pink crisp. And I’m sure y’all would miss the rain. But it is a nice small town 2 hours north of Phoenix. We are at 7000 ft elevation so you might want to pack some oxygen . Great place to be stuck in isolation. And then there’s this Rona business going on. We’re one of the top 3 Dumbass states breaking Rona records.
Spent a week up in Derby somewhere. Love the Ramies . Beautiful country. US customs would not let me bring my Bovril back in the states. They were afraid of Mad Cow.
Also had a holiday at Amberley Castle in Arundel. Broke my ankle 2nd day in. I think Emily , pushed me down the circular stairs. Spent the last of 2 weeks on a Thames River barge with a cast on my ankle.
Thanks for letting me relive my Holidays. Some day I’ll go back. But it’ll be hard not to have a pint.
I know how he feels.
We have been looking into adopting a kitten. So I found a shelter near by that has all of their animals live with fosters instead of in cages which is what I wanted and started scrolling through their kitties. And found this guy.
His name is Bob. He is an older special needs cat and I just fell in love
He had a tail and spinal injury when they got him so they had to remove his tail.
We filled out our paper work yesterday and hopefully will be able to go meet him and all that soon
Bob is going to be so lucky. God bless you for giving him a home. That’s awesome!!!
