Got a bit of a groggy doggy this morning. We had to do a midnight run to the vets to induce vomiting after she snarfed a corn on the cob husk from a food waste bag waiting to be emptied into the compost.
She is absolutely fine, much better to get it out than risk a blockage than complications later!
Thankful for being sober to 1. See her eat it and 2. Being able to drive her to the vets!
Oh no!!! Poor pup! I, too, am glad you were able to catch her and bring her to the vet. If emergency vets are the same in AU as they are in the US…ouch $$$$

This is actually the second time I’ve taken her in to induce vomiting. The first time, in normal hours, it was about £50.
She really is teaching me a lot about patience and expectations 
And learning about keeping everything out of snout’s way!! My cat had a cystitis episode on Super Bowl Sunday. Could potentially be lethal. $380!!
I feel you. A few years ago we had a Doberman hound (she was big 80lbs!) anyways she was playing I guess with Haley I’m still not completely sure. Long story short Haley had to have emergency surgery to sew her neck back up. Almost $600 at the emergency vet.
Ugh! Expensive and traumatic. Some pretty rough playing! Glad you were there to rush Haley off to the vet.
I’m still not 100% it was play. It was like Pandora was using Haley as a toy cause when I walked in she had Haley in her mouth and was tossing her like a rag dog. It was very traumatic to stay the least. We had to let her go after that.
I am not even close to being a dog expert - but what you are describing sounds like an attack. We have my SO’s daughter and her zoo (2 cats, 1 dog) staying with us for a bit. The dog does what you describe with her toys. Our Golden never has. Anyway…Poor Haley. And poor Pandora, too.
My husband agreed. We swiftly got rid of Pandora sadly but it was the best decision for the household and Haley made a full recovery after a few months. I’ve learned to research dog breeds better and I’ll invested in better training in the future.

You did the right thing! First Haley, then maybe a chomp on you or your husband. I think we tend to lose sight of the fact that they are animals. We are then shocked when they act like them.
