I love the pics! I’ve never seen cats so comfortable in a car, I’m guessing they’ve travelled a lot? The initial vet visit after I rescued Riley, she meowed the entire time and peed in the crate. She was scared to death, I felt so bad for her. She loves dogs, but hates cars :joy:

Rescued from a chain pet supply store when she was a baby. Her previous owner dumped her there. Her name is Arnold (before we knew she was a she) and she is blind in one eye so her other eye always looks red like the Terminator. She wasn’t in a tank in the front of the store. There was just a sign in the front of the store that said they had a had a free Red Devil Cichlid and if interested, they would show us. We were getting dog food but something just told us that we needed to see this fish. She was in a dirty, cloudy tank that definitely was not big enough no clean enough for her to thrive in. She was just laying in her side barely flopping around in the water. We couldn’t leave her there to die. We have had her for about a year and a half and she has tripled in size. Amazing what clean water, the right tank size, quality food and a lot of love can do.

All my pets are frequent travelers. But we all liked this 2 hour drive instead of the 8 or the old 16 hour slog we use to do back and forth to Cali. No In and Out or Carls Jr stops needed for this ride. I’m glad you enjoyed the pics.
Hope you enjoyed the song Mae :joy:
Alice has seniority @Lisa07 over all of them she turned 16 this June. She gets to sit where she wants. She kinda gets to do anything she wants :smirk_cat:. We got her before Minnie. Minnie doesn’t like long road trips. She didn’t do too bad today though.

I’m taking this quote as a sobriety/life metaphor. :raised_hands:t3::tropical_fish::heart:

That’s so sweet of you guys. I’ve never heard of anyone rescuing a fish. Just never even thought about it. How cool.

When our grown up kids left home and we made our big move to Colorado. We did the 16 hour drive about ten years ago with 5 cats. Alice was a baby then. 2 dogs. Minnie and Max. And 4 fish. 2 of them in Homer Buckets 🪣 and the other 2 separate. I think beta fish? I can’t remember. And we all made it. So I guess we saved fish before. Not necessarily a rescued.
Arnold is adorable.
