Well Lumi’s knee is 100% healed but 2 days ago the other one completely tore… I heard her yelp and when I got to her she was whimpering and had a puddle of pee under her… must’ve really hurt, poor thing. Surgery is scheduled for January 11th. There goes another 4k but worse yet is having to kennel her and keep her imoble for another 8 weeks.

OMG! Poor Lumi! She must have been in extreme pain when it initially happened. These next 8 weeks are going to be torture. Too bad surgery can’t be done sooner. What a year its been for you and your family. Sending love and healing vibes to her and all of you.

She has pain and anti-inflammatory meds to get her by until then. She’s allowed to run around as much as she wants until then (the vet said she can’t hurt it any further).

Awe I’m so sorry Dan. I do hope she is not in a lot of pain. Hopefully the meds help her till the surgery. Sending her many comforting and healing vibes. :people_hugging:

Willow has just had a small lump removed from her head and sent off for analysis. No panic. We just need to wait and see…

Ozzy definitely knows how to press Chief’s buttons, too. Figured it out pretty quick. He’s filling the little brother role big time.

It was pretty much garunteed to us that the other one was gonna tear the rest of the way. She had a partial tear when the other knee was done. We kenneled her and only had her out on a leash. We would pick her up to put her on the couch and lift her down. It wasn’t until the week of her xrays that I let her have a little freedom in the living room and that’s when it tore. She seems to be doing well with her meds.

Thanks for reaching out and no apologies needed… I’ve been taken for thousands on useless procedures for dying animals by bad vets in the past.

Poor Lumi
I’m so sorry to read this Dan.
I’m glad she’s got the meds and the vet said she can’t hurt it any further. It’s always so hard to keep an active dog crated. Fuck. Any dog. I wish she could get in sooner for the surgery.
Poor thing.
