So so grateful to be sober and appreciate the beauty of nature on my door step :dove::dizzy:

No, don’t I wish, sometimes ! For the last 4 years, I’ve been going every year for a couple of weeks of language lessons and some tourism. My trip got cut short this year because of this sodding virus, but I’m really hoping to get back there soon.
I usually stay in Kobe.

I went on a hike with my 180mm macro lens this morning.

This was a burst of color and light in a dull lifeless groundscape. Also the only red flower still alive in the area.

Deer remains from a cougar kill. I was hoping to find the cat. Maybe next time.

Full moon again, and white mist creeping under it on the fields. Fall is here now,if we’re lucky the mist won’t freeze.

OMG! There’s no guard rail. That train derails and everyone is dead. You went on that?! You’re crazy. lol

I’d have to meet the conductor and make sure he was sober!

That’s why it’s called a narrow gage. The tracks aren’t as wide or something like that. It’s made for the mountains. 23 miles an hour. I couldn’t drive some of the roads up there. No guard rails either on some of those mountain passes. Scared the shit out of me.

I wouldn’t go on it if it were 2 miles an hour. I don’t think I’d want to be up in the mountains that bad. I’d have to be sedated first. lol

It’s the Animas River. “River of Lost Souls”.
Big mining country up there.
