Hummingbird traffic is slowing down. This morning, I was wondering if it was over, then this one showed up.

We had a wind storm the other day, it caused the hummingbird feeders to leak, giving me this opportunity.

I broke out the mpe-65 macro lens this morning. Its focal length is 3 inches from the subject. These guys are fast! Its a tricky lens, extremely sentive to camera shake, and has a razor thin DOF The high magnification photos take about 100 shots to get a decent one. Its hard to track subject, and when you start to get dialed in, they move.

This is the king! Black and bigger than the rest. Im pretty sure its the only one of that species. I’ve only seen one at a
time so I’m pretty sure its the same one.

Rode Island Red chicken. They are really tame. They will sit in your lap and let you pet them.

We bought a boat this summer🤩 which is awesome but that’s when my drinking got really out of hand🙄 kinda excited for summer to be over because I feel like in the summer it’s way harder to be healthier and stay motivated.
