Yes! It’s very interesting
Tried to take the husband camping for his birthday. The fog was pretty but the weather continued to get worse, instead of what was forecasted. Eventually, after being in the tent for 5 hours while it got colder and rained harder and harder, we decided to pack it in and head home. I got some cool pictures of the lake at least.
that rain is going to bring the salmon in. Im a little jealous!
You know how it is out here. It was raining up at snag lake (radar ridge- naselle), but once we got down the hill to sea level, it was clear. The peninsula was sunny and 10 degrees warmer.
Thats awesome. Ive seen a few this summer in Utah they are amazing!
theres a campground 13 miles up Queets river road. Its a magical place. The queets is last to drop in shape after rain because its glacier fed. Its also the best river to get away from everyone on. Old growth forest. Big native fish!
The Hoh is my fav but there isnt much access without a driftboat. The lower river has some access, but changes during high water. The last year I fished it, my favorite spot was washed away in a big storm. Its also heavily gill netted, so hitting it on the days they arent netting can be challenging.
Looks nice! They’ll sleep good tonight!
I have relatives in Old Forge. I was there a lot when I was kid. Is the Enchanted Forest amusement park still open? Loved that place.
Closed due to Covid, but definitely still there. We stayed next door at the Old Forge Camping resort. First time tent camping with the kids.
That’s awesome!! I didn’t think I’d ever come across anyone that knew where that place was. lol
That’s our favorite vacation spot. Third time up there this year.
