Post your most inspiring photos of nature #2 (Part 1)

Do you do much post production on your photography, or is it mostly straight out of the camera?
Your stuff is really great, and has a certain ‘style’ in colour which is why I ask.

I use Lightroom for basic edits, tones, curves, cropping. I tweak the dehaze and clarity quite a bit. It makes the contrast of the highlights and shadows pop, and brings out more details of the bright and dark areas.

I use Topaz studio to remove noise. I usually shoot a stop under exposed unless its low light.

I also like to shoot HDR combining several exposures to get high contrast. None of theses drone shots are HDR. Its got a 1 inch sensor, like a DSLR. Like my Canon. Most of my Canon seascapes are HDR.

So far I haven’t used any manual setting with the drone.

Heres a couple straight from the camera other than resizing to share here,

The video is awesome from the drones camera.

It was really windy last night, so I didnt go to the lighthouse. I was filming a timelapse sunset over Hells gate by the dock, protected from the wind.

The drone lets you know when you have enough battery to get back to the take off point. I used that feature and it makes the drone fly up 160 feet to avoid obstacles. then it returns home.

The 160 feet was in the wind. The drone is stable in the wind, but it works harder, draining the battery faster. I was next to a bunch of steel crab gear, and I think it messed up my signal. It kept trying yo land over the water. I kept trying to fly it over land. It was unresponsive and crashed into the ocean.

This time I bought the care refresh. It allows 3 replacements in two years for a fraction of what the drone costs. They are sending me a new one. It was easy. Whew… I was pretty sick about it, but its going to be OK. It crashed close to the jetty and I was hoping I could see it at low tide this morning. No luck.

The replacement is only 119 dollars

If you buy a drone, buy the care refresh!

DJI has been great! They sent batteries for my other drone to an old address. It was my fault for not paying enough attention when I ordered it. They refunded my money.

Beautiful  we don’t see doves here unfortunately. They exist, but you don’t see them out in nature and in the wild

:sob::sob::sob: Sold. Ugh!!! I’m so glad you got that plan. I can’t imagine how helpless you felt watching it plummet into the ocean. Poor little fella, his tun was a short one, but a good one.

I wish I could say I’ve been here but I just bought the art. It does look awesome on my wall and I love waking up to it every morning! I think its sunset at the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine.
