Turned around 180° and saw this to the north, the direction we headed :scream:

They’re all so beautiful. I haven’t seen them in ages, but the Adirondacks used to be our yearly timeshare visit when I was younger. Them or the Poconos. Anywhere we could drive to within a day was ideal, lol. But always a beautiful, woodsy getaway.

My wife and I try to get up there at least a few times a year now. This trip was solo as I climbed 3 mountains she already had. 12/46 for my 46er journey. We are planning one more big hike this year. Possibly Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge, or part of the Dix Range.
