Today’s hike, been exploring bear country more and more. I wish we had more mountains in Saskatchewan just some valleys and hills but at least the river linings are in abundance.

Just came back from a weekend trip, went to Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean with a friend.

This is the Fjord du Saguenay at La Baie

This is ‘La petite maison blanche’ at Chicoutimi. Here’s the story for those who are interested : The Weather Network - A little white house is all that remains from one of Canada's worst floods.

This is me and my friend at Alma, just before her 30th birthday party.

Hiking early this morning up in the high country. The Marmot sat and watched the sun come up with me while I made coffee.

Such a beautiful scenery did you camp out on top of the mountain? I’ve been debating doing this I just hate our bear population they make things difficult in the woods

Beautiful scenery :slightly_smiling_face:

No I camped out at my parents house in the extra bedroom lol. Drove up to the the trailhead and hiked up to that high point just as the sun cleared the mountain. I could hear elk bulgling way off down in the valley below just before sunrise. This hike started right above treeline so I didn’t think much about bears. When a hike starts lower down in the forest and you are hiking in the dark with a headlamp I definitely do think about bears and mountain lions! But it’s been years since I have seen a bear in the wild and I have never seen a mountain lion. I bet you have a lot more where you are!

Bye for now…
