That trip means a lot to me. It was my first time to go to a random place and just hike. I had seen imagines of sunrises there and I was not disappointed. I think it was the first time I realized I really liked being in nature like that

It’s significant for me too. It was day 2 of my very first trip to the States, after dreaming of travelling there for nearly 50 years, and my first visit and meetup with my Texan friend who I met online on a quit smoking forum. My first little hike in the USA. And my first Bluebonnets.


PS. It was the end of March actually.

This part of the Colorado River is called Lady Bird Lake.
MOPAC Foot Bridge.

Looking east toward town.

Austin City Skyline where we started our walk.

Looking west away from town.

It’s a really great 10 mile trail. We did like a 4 mile loop.

Interesting fact: because the second rainbow has been refracted twice its colour bands are reversed from the primary rainbow.
