A Mayflower, do these grow worldwide, just wondering…

Not even sure I have seen one before, and I am in Southern England. Beautiful, sounds stupid but I didn’t know there was such a thing as the mayflower! Does it grow wild?

Hi, yes they’re wild. They come out late April early May, mostly in fields. They’re delicate and so pretty. They don’t hang around for long. We were taught not to pick them :cherry_blossom:

Brilliant, I will look out for them but they really aren’t familiar. Amazing that there is such a regional difference.

It grows in the Netherlands too.
It’s called “Pinksterbloem” overhere.
After Whit Sunday/Pentecost.

Any wildflower experts know what the white flower is next to the Mexican Poppy? On Mt Diablo, east bay area of San Francisco Bay

It’s a Butterfly Mariposa Lily. It’s similar to Utah’s state flower, the Sego Lily. Beautiful
