The Gamble Quail are the funniest things ever.

They have a comma-shaped topknot of feathers atop their small heads.

And their kind of clumsy :crazy_face:

And we got babies out on the tee box.

Heading down a pathway to look at a house that needs renovation this morning and there’s this little Muntjac having breakfast (or supper, as I believe they’re nocturnal). Wasn’t worried about me at all.
They’re regarded as pests now, which is a shame - no Muntjac’s ever pestered me. People, however…

We made a long backroads drive yesterday, and this is one of the views when we came out of the forest. The National Forest gates opened on May 1st, and it was fun to plow through the snowdrifts still on the roads.
