@AyBee what’s the timing for how often the pictures are taken? Beautiful!

It’s really low-tech :grinning:
I just use an old phone with a tripod mount. I have an old power bank I Velcro to the side so that I can plug in the phone for any extra long time-lapse shots (4-5 hours capture). Generally set the time-lapse to 120× speed, which is it taking a single frame every four seconds to build up the video at 24fps. It means every hour of shooting gets compressed down to around 30 seconds of video.
The phone I use even has a well cracked screen (happened only recently) but the camera still works fine so I still use it.

@Kareness for technical timing see above. I find that 120× gives, in general, the most dynamics to clouds and sunrises/sunsets without events getting ponderous and boring. Keeps it all punchy.

But…how did you get a picture of the camera?!

That’s an old phone, not my primary.
Pics were with my current phone.

By using an old phone I can leave it shooting for hours and not have to worry about missing calls etc

:rofl: this is fantastic. I was expecting an ultra modern space age technology all singing all dancing top of the range camera. This just makes your great videos even greater. :full_moon_with_face::+1:
Edit Just found out my Samsung s8 has timelapse/hyperlapse function. Only had it 4 or 5 years.:man_facepalming:t3:

Thanks for the details! Do you live there with this brilliant sight?

I walked out of my job for a quick break, and saw this. It looked cool to me. The way the fog is coming down over the tree :relaxed:

I buy my loose leaf tea in a shop next to a churchyard and spotted this lovely foliage on the way in.
